Zoe-perry
Perry is born July 25, 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first television roles were two appearances in the role of Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mother. She did not pursue acting as a career until after she had reached the age of adulthood due to her parents being worried about the detrimental effects that stress could be a cause of. Perry was shy during high school and did not act. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends as she moved to the university from Boston University. Perry began her career in New York after graduation, performing in minor parts in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homesickness led to Perry go back to California to work as a stage actress. In 2013, she appeared in The Other Place on Broadway alongside her mother. In 2015 she performed alongside her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry was featured nine times on The Family, an ABC film The Family, in 2016. In 2017, Perry played a supporting role in ABC's political thriller Scandal which starred her father. In addition, she played in the role of a younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - an CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The actress was chosen for the role despite having a close family connection to the character.
