A tall and athletic model Catherine Bell was born in London, England, but relocated to Los Angeles with her mother while she was a kid. Although she had intended to major in pre-medicine in college, Bell dropped out in order to pursue a career as a model in Japan. Then, in L.A., after doing several commercials for TV as well as small film roles, she also made guest-star appearances in the shows. Isabella Rosellini used her as her body-swapping mate when The Death was Her was released in 1992. She met her future husband (Adam Deason) during filming on the shoot. In 1992, after appearing on JAG on NBC, JAG she sent a letter to the producers of JAG expressing her interest. In 1996, JAG moved to CBS and she was a part of the show's cast in the role of major Sarah "Mac" Mackenzie, as a sidekick for Lt. commander Harmon "Harm" Rabb (David James Elliott). A real-life skater and kickboxer, her athletic skills lead the way for physically demanding parts in the action movies Men of War, Crash Dive and Black Thunder.
