Hayley Orrantia is she is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Many people recognize her character Erica Goldberg in the comedy television show 'The Goldbergs'. She considers herself to be a musician first and foremost. When she was nine years old of age, she was playing around with music. The first time she began to study music professionally when she was twelve. In the age of 13, she began creating songs. She recorded her debut album at 14 years old. And the rest is history. Orrantia is a native of the USA but she is a native of the United States with Hispanic roots. Though she grew up speaking solely English and was never in Mexico she is very proud of her Hispanic heritage. By learning Spanish and writing songs, she tries to keep the culture alive. One such song is "Hasta Verte," a song she recorded in Spanish. Orrantia was picked to perform for the X Factor's inaugural season during the summer of 2011. Orrantia was the winner of the initial season of the X Factor when she uploaded an YouTube audition video. The judge gave her four "yes" vote by the judge on the live stage in Seattle. Originally auditioning as a soloist, she as well as three female singers were put in the final auditions during "Hollywood Week". They were eventually eliminated at the end of the fifth show.
