Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American actor and singer is extremely popular. Her family was home-schooled by her mom and her father, in USA. She was subjected to racial taunts and being made to feel unwelcome. It was in her ninth year that she started to feel more confident after receiving a rousing ovation in an audition. The experience not only increased the confidence of her, but altered the direction she pursued in her professional career. In 1992, she earned her degree from New York's Julliard School. When she was 23, her first Broadway performance with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her film debut You've Got Mail were both major breakthroughs. Her greatest break came in her role as The Lady of The Lake, in the first Broadway version of Spamalot. She won the Tony Award and received great appreciation for her role. The following year she was cast in the role of the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gain more fame. The actress is also a renowned performer and has published an extended version of her play. She is also an activist who is active for LGBT rights.
